Organ and Choral Scholarships
Introduction
Listed below are basic details of a number of institutions offering organ and/or choral scholarships in the United Kingdom and overseas. If you are thinking of having a gap year you might like to take note of the Sacred Music Studies course which would serve as an excellent foundation for your time as an organ or choral scholar.

Two scholarships for young organists are offered by the RSCM for the annual Young People's Course at Bath - you can find more details here.

Gap-year students
If you are thinking of having a gap year before applying for or starting your organ or choral scholarship you will find the RSCM's Sacred Music Studies course (in partnership with the University of Wales, Bangor) particularly useful.
Successful completion of the course leads to a Certificate of Higher Education in Sacred Music Studies from the University of Wales (equivalent to the first year of undergraduate study). The RSCM also recognises your progress through the course with the following awards:
